Smithfield Regeneration

The transformation of Smithfield comes in the form of a £1.9bn investment to redevelop the area, creating over 3000 new homes. In addition new retail and commerical property will further secure Birmingham’s position as the UK’s leading business region.

Curzon street

The Curzon Street Masterplan is an expansive £742 million regeneration scheme, set to transform 141 hectares in the heart of Birmingham. The new area will be home to the HS2 Curzon Street station, 36,000 new homes and 600,000 sqm of commercial space.

Paradise project

At the centre of Birmingham’s extensive transformation is the £700m Paradise Project. Encompassing 1.74m sq ft of office space and 120,000 sq ft of retail spaces, the regenerative project brings a new urban neighbourhood to the UK’s second city.

CITY CENTRE

Birmingham City Council’s Big City Plan highlights the ongoing growth of the city’s central core by 25% over the next two decades. The expansion is set to transform areas surrounding the city centre and grow the population by 100,000.

Regeneration & Development: Birmingham Property Investment

The £700m, city-centre Paradise project is one of Birmingham’s most important development in a
generation. It will bring 1.8m sq ft of modern new office, retail and leisure space as well as a 250-bedroom hotel. PwC has already pre-let the whole eight-storey building at One Chamberlain Square – the first building set to complete as part of the project in 2019. The rest of the project is set to be completed in 2026.

Another significant development is Smithfield – a 34-acre site located between the city’s Chinese quarter, Eastside district and the main city centre shopping area. This £1bn development will create new shops, hotels, a public square and 2,000 new homes. The project, set to commence in 2019, will bring 3,000 new jobs and £470 million to the city economy.
